Why wait? Babies are wide open, watching and listening
and taking it all in. Your voice is the one your baby loves
and listens to most closely. If you’re willing to
sing, your child will want to join you.
As it turns out, music—you’ve probably heard—is
also good for brain development. We all tend to rock and
dance with our babies, and sing songs that we make up or
know from the folk tradition. In the process, musical elements
such as rhythm, pitch, tempo, and dynamics are building
concentration, coordination, language awareness, and social
skills. And it all happens naturally.
Music is its own language, and a satisfying way for children
to express their feelings and release their energy. Classes
give you playful songs and chants to use in the car, during
play times or diapering, and for those difficult moments
when you wish you had more ideas of what to do. Music is
fun, it's calming, it's social, and your child loves it.
Best of all, it is fully portable and available anytime
and anywhere.
